Charging in the Cold: The Protocols

  1. Fast-charge warm, not cold. If a truck arrives with a cold pack, the thermal management pre-heats before accepting full rate — schedule that time, and prefer charging after a run (pack already warm) over charging a cold-soaked unit.
  2. Overnight on AC at the depot is the winter default: gentle, warm, tariff-friendly.
  3. Hold the 20–80% discipline for standby; full charges the night before duty days only.
