The headline structural difference is battery scale. The KT5J's 262 kWh CATL pack is roughly two to three times the capacity of the T5's typical export variants. That is not a spec-sheet race — it is a duty-cycle statement about two different products.

Choose the KT5J if you run two shifts or 200+ km days, want the scheduling freedom and cycle-life economics of a 262 kWh CATL pack, need flexible body-building on a truck-native chassis, or are deploying in markets where the CATL service ecosystem is your nearest high-voltage competence.   3. What body does the duty need, and who builds it locally? Box, curtain, refrigerated or stake — confirm your local bodybuilder's experience with each candidate's chassis integration, and inspect reference bodies in your market before contracting. A brilliant platform with no local body solution is a project delay.
  4. What does year-six service look like? Name the technicians, the parts channel and the diagnostic path for each candidate in your market. If the answer requires a video call to another time zone for a truck that must work tomorrow, weight the local-ecosystem option accordingly.
  5. What does your financing counterparty prefer? Banks and lessors are increasingly literate in battery warranties and residual values; an 8-year/4,500-cycle pack with a liquid second-life market often clears credit committees faster than a shorter or more opaque warranty on cheaper hardware.

Run the five questions with your own numbers and the field narrows to one or two candidates within an afternoon — and the ones it eliminates, on your data rather than anyone's marketing, stay eliminated.
