Three practical notes: first, file the correct HS classification for battery-electric trucks with your clearing agent — the pack is integral to the vehicle, not a separately dutiable battery consignment, and misclassification is the single most common cost error we see in first-time EV truck imports. Second, Ghana's GSA/GSA destination inspection requires the standard pack: invoice, packing list, UN 38.3 battery test summary, and the IMDG documentation for sea freight. Third, shipping runs 35–45 days from Chinese ports to Tema on standard services; RORO from Shanghai/Qingdao is our default for tippers.
